Journey

 My Journey with God

Four years ago I was a Catholic and I was also in college by that time, I was very silent person I actually don't talk when they first approached for something or for somewhat, a life that is kind of boring. I met different kinds of people and made me friends but then I found out myself that I am not happy to be with them. It seems that I feel emptiness in my heart that I actually don't know. My 2 years experienced when I was college is really boring.

When I was in 3rd year College, I met Jackie a friend of mine whom I first met, I enjoy her company we had some hang outs until we meet Joy a friend of mine too she looks different from the other, my first impression to her was that she was very mysterious and strict. When we get closer to her (Jackie and I) I discovered her character who really made me blessed because she always talking about God, how God change her life, how God really cares for you and many more. I was blessed actually she invited me to attend a cellgroup (a gathering which youngsters had a Bible study). I was then joined I am so much blessed because every time I heard the word of God I feel something that I cannot actually explained. So on and so forth, I've decided to be baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior. I was baptized right after my birthday in the month of March.

When I was already baptized I feel something better, I feel joy in my heart because I am renewing myself. I am very thankful to Joy whose God sent for me and brought me to his feet and accept him.

2 months after, Joy called me and  invited me to joined in the Children's ministry in the church  I asked her, what are we going to do and then she answered that we were going to teach children who were unfortunate to know God and teach them how to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior (the salvation). I paused for a while and then I asked God "Is this what you want me to do Lord?". I was teaching for over 1 year, I was enjoy and happy to teach those children and brought them to Jesus Christ.

I am happy spending my time with God, no matter how tired I am from work I don't forget him to thank for everything he had done to my life and to my family. God is abounding in love and slow to anger, the great provider and the best comforter of all the time.

Life: The Joy and Happiness

 

Both are positive and desirable emotions we feel joy and we feel happy at the same time. Are you confused what's the difference between them? Obviously, they are different in spelling but most of us only know that the joy and happiness have the same meaning. Based on my experienced in teaching children in our Sunday school in church I'm happy because children listened to me, I'm happy because they are good listener and I'm happy because they respond me, that's what makes me happy, get my point? Happiness is a sudden feeling, it's not a constant feeling that remains forever in your heart, you're just happy. It's an emotion experience in a state of well-being, you're just happy.

I feel joy in my heart because my Sunday school children are God-fearing and of course they knew and accepted Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior, I will treasure this for all of my life the joy in my heart remains forever as I see them grow physically and spiritually.

Joy is a gift from God, I feel contented of what everything I have because I know God is always there for me who provide anything what I need and what I desire. Lord Jesus Christ always lives in my heart forever.

Happiness comes from outside, while joy from within, and with this attitude of joy, the person is in a state of grace. Joy is an extension to happiness. It is a continuous state of happiness, and a positive emotion. It is not merely a fleeting thing, like happiness.
